This Fully Guided Rafting Trip is our most popular experience allowing you to feel the thrill of the Nantahala rapids with an NOC river guide. The crystal-clear Nantahala River is the perfect family-friendly river, and is an annual ritual for thousands of families! This fully-guided rafting trip allows you to enjoy delightful mountain scenery and playful rapids in the spectacular Nantahala Gorge, picking up bits of information along the way from your highly-trained guide. Your raft will splash through bouncing waves and spin on fast currents, while occasional calm spots give rafters a chance to soak in the forest, wildflowers and each other’s company.

This beginner's rafting trip takes 3 hours and is 8 miles long. Participants must be over 7 years old or weigh more than 60 pounds.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Bryson City, NC. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is just 65 miles west of Asheville and within 3 hours of Atlanta and Charlotte.

Valid May - October, not valid on weekends in June - August. Subject to availability. Complete trip within 12 months. Certificate expires 12 months after event date. Non-refundable and fully transferable (buy it for a friend!).

Pick up/shipping information:

At auction close, the certificate or instructions will be available for pick up in Sebastopol, CA on the designated pick up days or can be mailed at the winning bidder’s expense.

Certificate or instructions can be mailed with insurance via USPS first class mail. Winning bidder is responsible for all fees and billed at standard industry rates.

For planning, note that the pick-up days are Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 from 2:00-6:00 pm, and Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 12:40-3:00pm at SunRidge School in Sebastopol, California.

All information and details about pick up times and location will be given in the auction closing email.
