Rain barrels are an excellent way to help the environment in urban areas because they reduce storm water runoff that can carry pollutants and sediment directly to creeks and rivers. The barrels also save you money and precious groundwater supplies. The free stored rainwater is naturally soft and free of chlorine, which is great for use in gardens, on houseplants, lawns, and trees.
The barrel is fully assembled with a screen mesh lid, two overflow spigots, and a bottom drain plug. These barrels were previously used to ship pickled food overseas.
