The Armenian EyeCare Project's 25th Anniversary Gala Auction
The Armenian EyeCare Project's 25th Anniversary Gala Auction will run from October 15, 2017 to November 15, 2017, with the live event taking place on November 18, 2017. All proceeds go toward eliminating preventable blindness in Armenia and making quality eye care accessible to everyone in the developing country. Auction items range from luxurious weekend getaways to dining certificates at great eateries across Southern California to yoga memberships and more! Let the bidding begin!

Join the Armenian EyeCare Project (AECP) for our extra-special 25th Anniversary Gala as we celebrate 25 years of accomplishments in Armenia. This year, our Gala will pay special tribute to AECP Founder Dr. Roger V. Ohanesian for his dedication and service bringing sight to Armenian eyes.
Proceeds from the Gala will go toward the AECP's many programs in Armenia, which include five Regional Eye Clinics, a Mobile Eye Hospital, a Center of Excellence to Eliminate Infant and Childhood Blindness, Eight Sub-Specialty Clinics, a Low Vision Clinic and a number of medical education and training programs.
The evening will include an Armenian-inspired, five-course dinner; remarkable roving entertainers; an exciting live and silent auction; and talented artists like Tom Bozigian and his band and Artur Aleksanyan’s Armenian Dance Troupe. We hope to see you there!

Since the Armenian EyeCare Project began in 1992, we has been following our vision for Armenia and — thanks to supporters like you — have many accomplishments to celebrate. These include:
- seeing hundreds of thousands of patients in Armenia and restoring the sight of nearly 20,000 residents who would otherwise be blind
- delivering a state-of-the-art Mobile Eye Hospital to the country
- reducing infant blindness in Armenia by 90 percent, saving hundreds of babies from blindness, through our cutting-edge Center of Excellence for the Prevention of Infant and Childhood Blindness
- training hundreds of doctors and medical personnel in the art and science of ophthalmology
- sponsoring eight fellowships for Armenian ophthalmologists at the finest medical institutions in America, each fellow later returning to Armenia to train colleagues and direct clinics in their sub-specialty
- completing over 50 medical missions to Armenia
- handing out more than 70,000 prescription eyeglasses at no charge to residents in need
As much as we have accomplished in the past 25 years, there is still much to do. Access to eye care — geographically and financially — is the biggest challenge in Armenia and one that must be addressed. That is why we are working on our most ambitious project yet: developing five Regional Eye Clinics throughout Armenia by 2020 to ensure that quality eye care truly is accessible to everyone in the country — even those living far from the capital.
