EV 30th Anniversary Gala Online Auction A Success!

THANK YOU to all who sponsored, donated, and participated in our online auction celebrating 30 years of helping EVkids succeed in school and in life. We exceeded our fundraising goal!

Your support means EV can continue transforming lives and building community by connecting school-age children and teens from disadvantaged Boston neighborhoods with Harvard student volunteers in long-term tutoring and mentoring relationships, supported by family and school advocacy and a life-changing summer camp in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Three decades of EV tutoring and camp alumnus gathered for an inspiring and fun evening, with a keynote by Alan Khazei, founder of City Year, candidate for Senate in 2009, and author of the new book "Big Citizenship: How Pragmatic Idealism Can Bring Out The Best In America."

Latoyia Edwards, NECN newscaster and EVkid alumna, hosted the festivities along with Jim Braude, WTKK radio and NECN personality. Honorees included EV Founders Marie-Claude and Brian Thompson, EVkid alumnus Uri Berengeur, NESN Daily Co-host, and EVtutor alumnus Congressman Scott Murphy, US House of Representatives.
