Auction Questions & Answers

Question: If I am not a St. Martin of Tours community member, how will I get my item?
Answer: We will ship it to you. There are a few items, that we cannot ship, so you will have to pick them up at our school. All shipping restrictions are listed in the Special Notes section of each item.

Question: If an item has to be shipped, who pays for shipping?
Answer: If it is a gift certificate, we will pay for the stamp. If it is any larger, you will be charged for shipping.

Question: I am interested in purchasing a Montecristo table for 10 at the live event. Will this table be the same size as the tables for 8?
Answer: No, the tables will be larger. We'll be sure you have plenty of elbow room!

Question: Can I still purchase raffle tickets for

1. Byington Winery & Vineyard Tour/Tasting for 30 people.
2. Roses delivered once a month for a full year from Citti's Florist (you must live in the Citti's delivery area.)
3. $1500 off orthodontic treatment at
   Phelps & Cohen Orthodontics (New Patients Only).
4. Central YMCA membership for 1 adult and all children. 

Answer: YES! You can purchase them in advance for $20 for a sheet of 10 chances, or $25 at the gala event! Click to download a sheet of 10 raffle tickets.

Question: How do I purchase tickets to the March 13th Event?

Answer:
All reservations are due by Friday, March 5th to get the $75 price.

After March 5th the price is $85.
All reservations must be paid for by March 8th.

To pay by check,
Place the check and completed response card in the Auction Reservations box by the school office.  If you don’t specify who you would like to sit with, the reservation volunteer will do her best to place you with other Kindergarten parents.

To pay by credit card,
Click the Buy Event Tickets link. Be sure to fill out a response card and place it in the auction reservations box by the school office so that we know who to create bidder numbers for. There is a box to check on the response card that says you paid online. A copy of the response card is in the Buy Event Tickets link.

Check or Credit card -

If you would like to sit with friends, write their names on your response card too. If you could collect their checks and submit them all at once, that is the easiest thing for the volunteer who is keeping track and assigning tables.

When you arrive on Auction Night your name will be on the list, and a bidder number and paddle will be waiting for you! You will not actually receive a physical ticket for the event.

Question: When we refer friends outside of the STM community to the auction, do they have the ability to bid on the on-line items?

Answer: ABSOLUTELY!  There are many items that will close on Monday, March 8th. We will even ship, though they have to pay the shipping costs. That is all noted in the item under special notes.

There are 3 categories of items:

Online only – those items close on Monday, March 8th at 9pm.

Online start and then go to the event – they can bid online up until Monday at 9pm. After that bidding stops. If no one outbids at the live event they get the item. If they want to place an absentee bid so that they can continue to bid at the event, they can do that as well. For example, if I really wanted the Kate Spade purse, my top online bid might be $275 but I have entered into the online auction site that I will go up to $375.  On the night of the event, if they do not attend, we will have a proxy bidder that will place that bid for them up to $375.  If they win, we go back to the online site and enter their winning bid.

Live event only: These things people cannot bid on - online. They are live event items and teacher experiences and class baskets.
