Hopkins Education Foundation

Since 1995, HEF has awarded more than $1,700,000 in grants to the Hopkins schools.

HEF grants enable teachers to pilot small programs with big ideas, such as the stability balls in a 2nd grade classroom. The balls have proven to be a successful outlet for fidgety 7-year olds, enabling more productive, focused learning, and they are now being used in various spots all over the district. Another HEF grant is currently funding a program in both Hopkins junior highs, called "Real World Scientists". This program is increasing student exposure to 21st century technology as they analyze data, connect with scientists around the world, and develop multi media presentations. Other past grants include interactive whiteboards, actiVotes, and software that improves students' math and reading skills.

HEF is dedicated to helping Hopkins students keep up with our rapidly changing world and all the exciting challenges that lie ahead.
