Nicholas Sparks Signs Books for Baskets!
Yesterday, Nicholas Sparks spent the day in Lincoln helping to raise people's awareness of Lincoln Lighthouse. Sparks delighted the audience at his evening performance, sharing stories of his life and work through wit and wisdom. He explained that he only chooses to do 8 speaking requests a year (out of thousands of requests) and that he chose to support Lighthouse because it was such a great program. Helping the youth of the community is one of his passions.
Before doing his presentation, Sparks spent the morning with the Lighthouse youth telling them of the challenges of life, encouraging them to take responsibility for theirs by making good choices and chasing a dream He helped to plant a Sparks Cottonwood tree outside the Lighthouse home, and he spent time autographing the books for the basket auction. Sparks had fun guessing which basket was themed for each book as he autographed them and the books were placed in the basket. He supported the auction 100% and thought it was a clever way to raise money.
Please support this great cause today, by helping Lighthouse reach it's goal. Join Nicholas Sparks in taking time to help by bidding on these great items. Today is the day!
