Thank you for Supporting FIU's Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Online Auction Fundraiser!

Proceeds will benefit Florida International University's Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management for much-needed scholarship support and to provide funding for student teaching assistantships.

Florida International University's Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is one of the highest rated hospitality and tourism programs in the United States. Each year, over 1400 undergraduate and graduate students from across the United States and around the world choose FIU for its outstanding reputation, advantageous locations, impressive faculty, rich curriculum, and fast-track career advantages in the international hotel, foodservice and tourism industries. The Biscayne Bay Campus is located on 200 tropical acres in a resort-like setting overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida.

The Marriott Tianjin China Program: As a result of the Schools strong international reputation for excellence, the Tianjin Municipal Government of the Peoples Republic of China selected Florida International University from a group of elite hospitality schools in the U.S. and Europe as its partner in establishing a hospitality and tourism management campus in Tianjin, the third largest city in China which serves as the seaport for the capital, Beijing. The $100 million center, which was fully funded by the Chinese government, sits on 20 acres of land and contains more than 450,000 square feet of air conditioned space, including a dormitory tower 20 stories high, which can accommodate 1,000 students. The center, however, has a total capacity for 2,000 students. The school opened in September 2006 and graduated its first class of 29 students in 2008 and 155 in 2009. As a result of a substantial donation from Marriott International in the Fall of 2008, the School was named the Marriott Tianjin China Program.
