We need your help to preserve maritime history and support education by bidding on the exciting items in our auction.
The celebrated War of 1812 privateer square top sail schooner is well underway on her five-year mission along the East Coast of the United States, the Great Lakes and Canada, where she is participating in the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner.
LYNX, America’s Privateer acts as a dynamic educational platform, teaching hands-on, interactive State Standards based educational programs that teach Early American History based on the War of 1812. In addition we offer a State-Standards based Science program where students will individually investigate and examine useful information to utilize in hands-on experiments. We welcome schools, ASB Groups, GATE Teachers, Scout Groups, Faculty Team Building, Student Team Building, Custom Team Building events available.
Students step back in time and perform the duties of an 1812 Privateer crew. It’s a History lesson that comes alive as students play an active role in our nation’s maritime History while rotating between Three on-board learning stations. Also available is our Earth, Life & Physical Science Program sailing adventure in a learning station format
