The End of Summer 2012 Auction is now open. The auction will run from August 1, 2012 to August 15, 2012, with proceeds going to Easter Seals Central Illinois Decatur in order to support our programs:
Programs offered by Easter Seals Central Illinois Decatur
Speech Therapy Services: Evaluations, screenings and on-going therapy for all ages.
Hearing Screenings: Free hearing screenings by appointment for anyone over 3 years of age.
Autism Resource Room: Resources available for check-out and duplications and other materials along with computer usage. Open 9-5 Monday-Friday by appointment.
Specialized Services: Social, recreational, and advocacy programming offering activities and services to adults with a developmental disability.
Equipment Loan: This is a one month loan program of medical equipment (cane, walker, crutches, wheelchairs, lift chairs and other items).
Weatherization: Weatherization materials and labor provided to help decrease home energy use.
Summer Tutoring: Reading, Math, and handwriting sessions. One-on-One with certified teachers or equivalent.
AgrAbility Unlimited: Financial and counseling assistance to Illinois farmers with disabilities and their families so they may remain independent and continue farming.
E.A.R.T.H. Camp: Pre-vocational training in all aspects of horticulture. Resume writing, interviewing, and career expectations along with social and skill building offered to youth with developmental disabilities throughout the summer.
Discovery Depot Child Care Center: Inclusive full-time child care for up to 58 children. Ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
Parent’s Night Out: Respite for parents of youth with developmental disabilities. Community fieldtrips, artisans, snacks, and dinner available for children.
Operation Uplift: Determining eligibility for a subsidized transportation program for individuals with disabilities.
Autism Socialization Camp: The camp is modeled after a successful social camp – Skill Sprout – which provides educational and therapy services. Instruction and training will take place as a group and one-on-one, with direct social skills and behavioral instruction.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – To improve the day-to-day life of children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities. A focus on teaching skills and decreasing behaviors which interfere with learning.
