That is the goal of Art to Beat Cancer 2013. It will be reached should every work of art receive the minimum bid. The benefit will provide funding to support the development of new therapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer and move them from the "research bench" through clinical trials to direct use at the "bedside of a patient". Your support of Art to Beat Cancer 2013 will help The James Graham Brown Cancer Center make significant contributions to cancer treatment and prevention in Kentucky and throughout the world.

Art to Beat Cancer 2013 begins November 1 as an online auction and ends on November 22 with a live benefit at The Green Building, 732 East Market Street, Louisville, 5:30-9:00 PM.

Twelve nationally and internationally known artists will participate, including: Eric Bowman, Jill Carver, Glenn Dean, Bato Dugarzhapov, Doyle Glass, Mark Haworth, Kevin Macpherson, Wanda Macpherson, Denise LaRue Mahlke, C.W. Mundy, Michele Usibelli and Dan Young.

All proceeds from the sale of 36-40 paintings will benefit cancer research at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center in Louisville. Research at the Brown Cancer Center is primarily focused on drug discovery and development. The cancer center has one of the most robust pipelines of anti-cancer drugs of any cancer center in the nation. 

The sale price of each painting will be matched by the Veritas Curat Foundation, thereby doubling your donation toward finding a final cure for cancer.
