The theme for 2011 is the delights of France ...its exquisite food, style and romance! In connection with the event, the online auction Joie de Vivre will celebrate life's little pleasures by offering prizes ranging from gift certificates and gardening tools to once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as winery tours, golf outings, jazz cruises and even a trip to Paris! With such diverse offerings we're certain there will be something for everyone at this year's auction. This year's inaugural online auction will allow everyone a chance to take part.

The proceeds from the Joie de Vivre auction will be used to support the Garden's mission to enlighten, inspire and educate the community, allowing the Garden to grow special outreach programs and projects. Through educational programs for disadvantaged youth, donated produce for the Central Virginia Foodbank and our role as a consultant for special community gardens and park resources, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden impacts the growth of not only plants, but our community.
