The IHCA Turned 50!! And to Celebrate Will Run Online Auction for Scholarship Program!!

The IHCA is turning 50 this year, and to celebrate, we are co-sponsoring the 8th Annual International Consular Gala with the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce!!  Starting on April 29th, 2010, the IHCA will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for the IHCA Scholarship Program--and the more items we have, the more money we can raise, so we are asking for your help.  The Scholarship Program helps university students (like Joe Wood, one of last year's scholarship winners, shown above left with his Chinese buddies!) to broaden their horizons by studying abroad and helps International students studying here to further their education in the United States!  What an awesome way to help young people learn about citizen diplomacy!  For the auction, items will be sold online and at the Consular Gala in a live silent uction.
