ANTIQUE APPRAISAL DAY: SATURDAY APRIL 10

The Maryland Society for Sight  invites you to a unique and exciting fundraising event to learn the value of treasures in your attic while learning how ”valuable” the treasure of good eyesight can be to a healthy future.

Antiques Appraisal Day  Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Tall Cedars in Parkville.  We have engaged several professional appraisers who will be on hand to appraise any and all treasures.  During the day, participants will have the opportunity to participate in vision and glaucoma screenings to identify those at risk for eye disease and vision loss.  We know that 50% of blindness can be prevented if the public knows what steps to take.

Maryland Society for Sight is auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for our organization -

Last year more than 6,100 chidren were served.  2,500 adults were screened for eye disease.  More than 800 homeless persons received eye exams and glasses.  More than 1,000 people learned about eye protection to preserve their sight.  The list goes on...with your support!
