The Send a Military Kid to Summer Camp auction is now open. The auction will run from April 21, 2012 to May 22, 2012, with proceeds going to South Mountain YMCA Camps in order to support the 2012 Operation Purple Camp program for the children of our military men and women.

Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!

This summer, YMCA Camp Conrad Weiser is proud to host our 7^th season of Operation Purple Camp.  This program recognizes that “Kids Serve Too”.  In partnership with the National Military Family Association, the Operation Purple Camp is a week for having fun, making friends, and reminding military children that they are our nation’s youngest heroes.

YOUR SUPPORT:

• Helps provide 100 campers from active duty military families with 1 week of fun at summer camp in 2012
• Provides an opportunity for the “kids who serve” to experience horseback riding, archery, zip lines, and much more
• Connects the children of military families with their peers
• Provides a Military Life/Family Counselor (MFLAC) as support
• Helps provide a connection with military personnel from all branches of the armed forces
• Allows a week of respite for the military spouse who is at home during a long deployment
