Hard Hat Party Auction Now Open!

Hard Hat Party VIP Reception & Open House Are A Great Success.

The Board of Directors and staff of the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center would like to thank all of our donors, corporate sponsors and advertisers, and community members who celebrated with us at the Hard Hat Party VIP Reception and Open House on Sunday, June 27.  More than 100 people registered to attend this unique event where they could tour the new site of the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center at the Blatz Boiler House, located at 252 E. Highland Avenue.

In addition, great gifts such as tickets to the musical "Wicked" were auctioned off by Milwaukee's own Ms Ruthie, whose unique presentation helped to raise more than $1,000 in auction and raffle items.

We would also like to thank Potawatomi Bingo Casino and Haute Dish Professional Services for providing the food, Tempt for hosting our bar, and Tiger Lily for supplying stunning floral arrangments to accompany our construction theme.

Even thought the party itself is over, don't forget that the online auction conitnues until August 31!

Help support the relocation of the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center by becoming a participant of our Hard Hat Party online auction. By placing a Buy Now bid for office furniture and supplies, you will help fund new equipment that is essential for replacing old and broken items no longer usable at the Center’s new location. Each auction donation is 100% tax-deductible.

Some of the items needed by Center staff and volunteers at our new location include:
     * Office desks and chairs;
     * File drawers;
     * Computers, monitors and printers;
     * Colorful yet durable sofas, tables, chairs, ottomans and lamps for our Project Q youth suite;
     * Book shelves and desk for our lending library;
     * Folding tables, chairs, lectern and easels for our community room.

The Board of Directors, staff members, and volunteers of the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center thank you in advance for your participation, as this is an auction where the only thing you win is our gratitude for your generosity and charity.
