The Humboldt Community Breast Health Project (HCBHP) is a community resource of support and education for those facing a breast or gynecologic cancer concern. Located in Arcata, California, HCBHP was founded 15 years ago. It is a grassroots organization using the "Wounded Healer" and "Patient Advocacy" models to help clients become their own best medical advocates. With peer support, medical decision making support, support groups and patient navigation support we aim to help clients have the best outcome possible on their cancer journey. Our services include a patient navigation program, support groups, information specialists, warmline volunteers, an extensive resource library, and more.
