Sunrise cares for children who have been abused or neglected, or are at risk. Sunrise operates seven residential centers, three psychiatric residential treatment centers, seven foster care regions with eleven offices, IMPACT Plus services, Family Preservation services, and the Youth Support Center, an alternative to detention program. We care for an average of 600 children daily. In 2011, Sunrise provided 146,632 days of care to close to 2,000 children from across the state of Kentucky. We are the largest private child care agency providing a full continuum of services for abused and neglected children and at-risk families. Moreover, we hold ourselves to the highest standards possible as the only private child care agency providing a full continuum of services that is accredited by the Joint Commission, the highest accreditation body for health care agencies.
