Description:
30"x22" unframed photograph
"On my very first trip to Ghana, following the performance of some rituals one of the women elders became â¨"possessed." I asked if I could shoot photographs of herand was told that I was welcome â¨to but that they would probably not come out. When I returned the US and developed the film, I was amazed to find manyâ¨layers of multiple images on top of the photographs of the woman I treasure this roll of film, which â¨has never been shown before. The film has not been cut as the images run in â¨between the spaces as well.”
Cary Sullivan's exhibit "Soul Adventurer" is on exhibit at the Dan Eldon Gallery thru January 7, 2013.
