$1,000 GELT Scholarship – Send a deserving young person to our 9-week Green Economy Leadership Program
Global Exchange’s Green Economy Leadership Training provides youth and residents the skills they need to build an alternative to current casino capitalism.
You support helps:
Community Outreach: Building ties with the community is a crucial part of our work in Highland Park, Detroit. We invite the neighborhood to join us — engaging, training, and working with residents to rebuild a sustainable community.
Urban Agriculture: Constructing raised bed gardens with reclaimed materials, building hoop houses, enlisting neighborhood children – GELTers aren’t afraid to break a sweat to grow sustainable, local produce, and a sustainable future.
Clean Efficient Energy: We offer energy efficiency training to GELT participants and FREE home weatherization to residents. We weatherized 75 local homes last year alone.
