Item Description
This vibrant quilt takes its theme from the kindergarten Social Studies curriculum of classroom and school communities. Each student drew a picture of his or her home and then cut out fabric to recreate their pictures for the quilt. Students did all the drawing, fabric selection and fabric cutting on their own with amazing and beautiful results. The background is a bright blue sky with rolling green hills and sequoia trees. In the center of all is the Sun, shining over the colorful homes and the palm tree that represents CDS. This beautiful keepsake depicts a happy, caring and supportive community of classmates, faculty, friends and family.
Item Special Note
By the Sequoias, Carol Damm, Michele Morgano and Louise Vickroy-Solomon. Teachers: Jen Weiss and James Prietto.
Dimensions: 64" x 64"
