Item Description

Fascinating Steinbeck Signed letter responding to an inquiry about his memories of Richard Wright.  Perfect Condition.  A collectors dream.

The letter is addressed to Michel Fabre, a graduate student writing his doctoral thesis on “The Life and Work of Richard Wright”. Steinbeck writes, “I was very much interested in your letter about Richard Wright. It’s quite true that I knew him a number of years ago in Mexico. He came on the “Village” set where we were making “THE FORGOTTEN VILLAGE” and seemed to be very interested in the work we were doing among the Indians."
