You are bidding on two vouchers for use at the fabulous, newly opened, Kitchen 24 in West Hollywood, or the perennial Hollywood favorite, Kitchen 24.
We caught up with Kitchen 24 impresario (and Commissary partner) Dave Dickerson to chat about expansion plans for his 24-hour modern diner, currently with one location inHollywood. The next Kitchen 24 location, which should open in the heart of West Hollywood in October, is in the middle of a massive tear-down and rebuild. Why WeHo?
"I felt it had a more metropolitan appeal than just 'Boys Town,' but it's still a central location for nightlife," Dickerson says.
After that opens, he's setting his sights on launching locations in downtown LA, Studio City and the westside. Then, San Francisco, San Diego and possibly even Las Vegas beckon.
Look for expanded vegetarian, healthy and low-fat options at the West Hollywood location, as well as improved coffee service (that'd be the Commissary influence).
The decor, which is being overseen by Spacecraft, will feature the same color palette (vanilla, chocolate and strawberry) and "modern diner" elements (chrome, mirrors, glass) as the flagship location. And, of course, it will stay open around the clock.
