3) The estimated value of your piece - $400

4) Basic information about the non-profit you chose - Art on Alberta is an all volunteer nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the Alberta Arts District's distinct cultural identity through education and art activities.

Hilary Pfeifer has been a working artist for over 20 years, showing her installation work throughout the United States and around the world. Hilary also runs a small business out of her home called Bunny with a Toolbelt.  In her spare time, she works to make her neighborhood a better place as an Art on Alberta board member. A native Oregonian, she's excited to be part of the Art in Hand project.  To learn more about Hilary's art, visit www.hilarypfeifer.com or www.bunnywithatoolbelt.com

Unlike most of the original artworks created for the Art in Hand Portland deck, this piece is a three dimensional sculpture.  This auction is for the bunny and scepter.   Image used for the King of Hearts card has been reversed to make the playing card a better composition.  Actual sculpture holds the scepter in the bunny's right hand, as seen in the detail images.  Grass shown in the photograph for the playing card is not part of this auction, but can be ordered at www.bunnywithatoolbelt.com

Item Special Note

THE FINE PRINT:

Please note that the description above was submitted by the artist.  Also note that the image depicted with the listing is the image used in the Portland Project Deck ... which may be slightly different from the original artwork you are bidding on.  The original artwork also may have had additional aspects or features digitally added to prepare it for inclusion in the deck.  In some listings (but not all) we have mentioned differences between the card image and the original artwork, but in all cases you take final responsibility to be comfortable with the piece of art you are bidding on.  If you have any questions about the difference between the image and the original piece, we encourage you to see the actual piece of art in person before you bid (they are all even more incredible live).  In all cases the artwork is ready to hang but the pieces vary in terms of framing, attached hardware, etc.  To find out where you can view the actual artwork, visit www.facebook.com/artinhandpdx or view the home page of the auction where we have all the showings listed.  If you are the winning bidder we will expect you to make arrangements to have your art picked up either between 9-10pm at the closing reception Saturday evening May 22 or over the following couple of days at Splendorporium (3421 SE 21st Ave) between 11am and 5pm.  If you prefer the artwork to be shipped, expect to pay actual packing and shipping costs (which will vary for each item depending the size, framing, etc.) plus a $25 handling fee.  Note that this could get expensive, so we encourage you to make arrangements to have it picked up locally.  Note that we will not pre-calculate packing and shipping. Although the auction requires you to register a credit card to bid, we will NOT automatically bill your card if you are a winning bidder, as we would prefer to collect your payment by check or cash when you pick up your artwork.  You will receive notice from us if you are the winning bidder with your options.
