The ball also includes the date of the game and the score.

27 up and 27 down is one of the rarest acts in baseball, and the perfect game is a magical night. Halladay needed just 115 pitches to mow through the Marlins, and perfection was just about necessary, as his Phillies only put one run on the board for the 1-0 win. When Juan Castro fielded a short grounder at third and threw to first base for the final out, bedlam ensued as Halladay and his teammates celebrated.
