Would you like to beat the huge drums? Learn a complete song? Practice basic drumbeats? Come join Mrs. Doyne and Mrs. Worthington for a fun day of taiko drumming!  Taiko is the ancient art of Japanese drumming, and is very energetic!  Students will learn the difference between chudaiko, shime, slant drums and odaiko.

The drumming workshop will take place on Wednesday, May 23rd from 1:00 to 2:30 at the MacGregor Adult Education Center in Newark.  Transportation will be provided by Mrs. Doyne, in a private vehicle.

Special Instructions

Students should bring a bagged lunch and meet in Room 20 at 12:00.  Students will return to Proctor at approximately 3:15 where they must be picked up by their families in Room 27.

This item is for one of 6 spaces.  Students must bring their own bag lunch. Please wear comfortable clothing.
