What better way to spend a long weekend than at an Alpine Meadows Lake Tahoe home, where for 3 nights, you and your guests (up to 9 people total) will enjoy a stay at a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home just outside of Tahoe City at the base of the back side of Alpine Meadows ski resort.

With views of Lake Tahoe, Twin Peaks and Ward Valley, this home is in the heart of Ward Canyon and located only 3.5 miles from the West Shore of Lake Tahoe and Sunnyside Resort.

A snowy day may begin with a 5-minute walk to the Sherwood Chair at Alpine Meadows resort, where experienced skiers can finish by skiing right up to the front door. You will be one of the few traversing this path as homes in Ward Canyon enjoy private access to this particular ski lift. Don't forget to stop by the Ice Bar at the base of the Sherwood Chair to refuel - or kick back with an evening micro brew!

Are you partial to other winter activities? The home is surrounded by some of the region's best snowshoeing, crosscountry and backcountry skiing making it a perfect spot for a family that enjoys traipsing through the snow.

If you choose a summer weekend, you will have quick access to some of Tahoe's best hiking and mountain biking. Ward Creek and the Tahoe Rim Trail are just a short walk from the home where you may find yourself spending leisurely hours fishing, or head out to the Pacific Crest Trail for a multi-hour hike to the summit of Twin Peaks. A mere 5-minute drive will land you at Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge where a fine meal and entertainment are easily found.

Prefer to simply enjoy the bountiful beauties of nature? Then simply relax on the sunny deck overlooking the tranquil forest and spectacular mountain peaks.

For both winter and summer, you won't find another location in Lake Tahoe that gives you this much peace and quiet, yet immediate access to such a large number of mountain and lake activities. Enjoy!
