Terry Minger is President and CEO of The Piton Foundation, in Denver, Colorado. In 2011, Piton announced its new place-based initiative, The Children's Corridor, a contiguous 41-square mile area in Denver and Original Aurora, Colorado. The Corridor is 14 miles long and includes 14 neighborhoods, home to 54,000 children, 38,000 of whom are considered at-risk. The Foundation's three core goals for The Children's Corridor are: 1) every child is kindergarten ready; 2) every child graduates from high school prepared for college and career; and 3) every child has access to comprehensive medical care (a medical home).
