Artist
Item Description
Jessica Forrestal is a working artist in Denver and a high school art teacher inBrighton. The world around her provides endless artistic possibilities. Using discarded materials as her inspiration sends Jessica down many different paths. Her mixed media process of layering acrylic paint with discarded materials allows her to innovate and reuse what was once thought disposable. Her mask, was inspired by her new series of paintings in which she used two kinds of plastic mesh to create a textural surface on the mask. The colored strip down the face of the mask is created from reusing paint that would normally be discarded.
