Welcome to Veggie Planet in Harvard Square, where they've been serving great vegetarian and vegan food since 2001. Specializing in creative, out-of-this-world, meat-free and dairy-free pizzas, they also serve up equally satisfying meals on rice, as well as enticing homemade soups, salads and vegan desserts.
The restaurant is tucked away below-stairs, off Church Street on Palmer Street, which cuts between the two buildings of the Harvard Coop. Here's the regular dinner menu:
Now also serving beer and wine! Their pizza dough is completely organic and is made by Haley House Bakery Cafe, a non-profit fostering economic independence for underemployed men and women in the Dudley Square, Roxbury, community.
In the evenings, the main dining room transforms into Club Passim, the renowned folk music club that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008. Veggie Planet's great food remains available throughout the show, both to show goers in the main room and to non-show customers in the front seating area. Takeout is also available.
Open 11:30 A.M. to 10:30 P.M., 7 days a week.
Sunday Brunch is served from 11:00 A.M. to 3 P.M. featuring live music, lots of great food, and Mimosas and Bellinis to add to the fun! Stop by for brunch, lunch, or dinner, and experience how creative and delicious vegetarian and vegan food can be.
