The Hampton Classic Horse Show, which has received the elite status of Heritage Competition by the United States Equestrian Federation, is a grand way to end the summer. With 1500 horses exhibiting and 40,000 spectators, this is the largest hunter/jumper show in the United States. Held in high regard by the horse community, famous for its Hamptons Celebrity sightings, and second to none in high end shopping boutiques, it earns its nickname The Classic. The social scene that accompanies the show has led to its heavy upscale sponsorships. Visitors promenade the grounds often with dogs and showing off elaborate hats. Service in the VIP Tent is by white-coated waiters.
