Item Description

This is a beautiful hand-painted tile by Antoinette "Toni" Stroman.  The tile measures 6.5" x 6.5"

Born on August 1, 1969, Antoinette Stroman was an exceptional child.  Toni's future appeared bring as she entered her freshman year at Pasadena High School, the first step toward her dream of becoming a lawyer.  But in October of 1983, Toni contracted viral encephalitis, a virus causing severe imflammation of the brain.  She was hospitalized and slipped into a coma for more than three months.  Although doctors told her family that Toni would likely die, faith, love and prayers helped to bring Toni out of the coma that left her unable to walk, talk or move independently.
