Item Description
Ever wonder where those coyotes are that you hear at night?
Here's your chance. Find out more about this sometimes misunderstood ( Just ask Wiley!) forest creature with the Dr. Jonathan Way, author, research scientist and coywolf expert.
You are bidding on an evening of coyote tracking for two people in and around Osterville. Dr. Way has trapped and collared coywolves so that he can track them using a radio tracking device. These shy animals are generally nocturnal and have large home territories which they share with humans. He will provide transportation, and with any luck, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the neighbors you did not know that you have.
Good for 2 people. Must be 15 yrs or older.
To be arranged at a mutually agreeable date and time between July 1 and August 31, 2012.
Special Instructions
Dr. Way is the author of Suburban Howls, a book about the experiences and findings of a biologist studying eastern coyote ecology and behavior in urbanized Massachusetts. He hosts the website (www.EasternCoyoteResearch.com) and is currently seeking an institution that will support him and his research. He currently works seasonally for Cape Cod National Seashore, is a part time post-doctoral researcher with the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center, and is a frequent traveler to the Yellowstone area. His two current books “My Yellowstone Experience” (see www.coywolf.org) and “Coywolf”, are nearly completed .
