Arista, Brack, Williams-Selyem (Oh, My!)

This weekend for four offers a very rare, behind-the-scenes entry into the pinot life.  Taste and experience the romance of winemaking as the winemakers offer up their time, their wine, their hospitality and their stories.  Your lodgings will be amid vineyards, and your time will be spent sitting down and tasting with winemakers, touring some breathtaking grounds, and a fantastic winemaker dinner.   Here are some of the spectacular specifics:

Brack Mountain

A private 3-night stay within the exclusive Enos Vineyards Estate of Brack Mountain Wine Company for 2 couple.  Enos Vineyards Estate is located 5 minutes from Healdsburg center, and the Enos old-vine cabernet vineyards are nestled among a bountiful vegetable and herb gardens, hundreds of olive trees, a sparkling pool & cabana, dry sauna, tennis and basketball courts, as well as an outdoor kitchen in gorgeous Dry Creek Valley.  Enjoy a private wine tasting and an estate olive oil tasting in the the Enos Estate wine cave.

Arista Dinner/Picnic

Your party of four will be treated to the unforgettable Food and Wine Experience at Arista Winery. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted with a glass of Arista’s sparkling wine followed by a leisurely walk through the winery’s Japanese Water Gardens. Next, enjoy a tour of the estate vineyards in our custom built, open air “mini-humvees.”  After the vineyard tour you’ll be escorted to the winery’s private culinary center to meet Estate Chef Russ Sheldon. Chef Sheldon will personally lead you on a tour of the winery’s organic fruit, vegetable and herb garden and explain the winery’s approach to sustainable growing and farming. Loaded with his freshly picked bounty, Chef Sheldon will prepare a unique five course meal using the ingredients harvested from the estate and paired with Arista’s Pinot Noirs. What better way to finish a day in the Russian River Valley?

Williams Selyem Private Tasting

Williams Selyem is the Grandfather of wineries in the RRV. They opened a new winery in 2010, on Westside Road, that has proven to be as dramatic and inspiring as are their pinots. You will be their guests for a private tour of the new winery and a tasting of their esteemed pinots in a setting that is second-to-none. 

 Private Tasting at Ketcham Estate

Ketcham Estate, in the heart of the Russian River Valley, is as beautiful and dramatic of a vineyard as you will find. Mark Ketcham, owner of the vineyard and winery, will welcome you into his house, which sits atop the vineyard, for a private tasting and tour. Trust us; you will walk away wildly impressed and become an instant fan of the Ketcham pinots.

This year, you may NOT pick up your auction winnings at the event. All wine must be shipped and will be sent to you directly from the winery of the winning bids. Please note the costs for shipping below. Also note that your winning bids will be charged sales tax if the shipping address is in California. For California, shipping rates are as follows: 1-3 750ml Bottles: $13. 4-6 750ml bottles: $18. 7-12 750ml bottles: $27. Each additional 6 750ml bottles: $ 9. 1 Magnum: $15. 2-3 Magnums: $25. Each additional Magnum: $10. For outside California, shipping rates are as follows: 1-3 750ml Bottles: $15. 4-6 750ml bottles: $30. Each additional 3 750ml bottles: $15. 1 Magnum: $25. 2-3 Magnums: $40. Each additional Magnum: $15. Please be aware that if you request to ship your wines immediately, the weather may damage your wines. It is getting hot across the country and we would regret your wines being needlessly damaged. We are more than happy to store your wines until the weather cools in the Fall.
