This weekend for four offers a very rare, behind-the-scenes entry into the pinot life.  Taste and experience the romance of winemaking as the winemakers offer up their time, their wine, their hospitality and their stories.  Your lodgings will be amid vineyards, and your time will be spent sitting down and tasting with winemakers, touring some breathtaking grounds, and a fantastic winemaker dinner.   Here are some of the spectacular specifics:

Benovia House

This is truly a breathtaking setting for your wine country experience. Imagine the joy of sipping wine while looking out over prized Russian River Valley vineyards. Enjoy the inviting, relaxing, and warm ambience of a winery cottage. Feel your stress melt away while sitting in our hot tub under the stars, or start your day there. 

You will love the peaceful, country feel of Benovia and yet the cottage offers easy, five-minute access to many famous restaurants and wineries nearby.

Zazu Dinner for 4

Zazu is a hidden gem in the Russian River Valley. Duskie Estes is one of the most imaginative chefs in America and her food, which is truly Farm to Table, all being sourced from within 50 miles of the restaurant, is as tasty and pinot-centric as one can find. Duskie and John even make pinot in collaboration with Thomas George Estates and Holdredge Winery.

Kathleen Inman will join you for dinner.  Kathleen’s wines personify the Russian River Valley. Her winery was the first fully organic. To pair Kathleen’s wine with a Zazu meal is as natural and lovely of a pairing one can think of.

5 Hour Limo Ride with Tastings at Freeman, Fort Ross, Dutton Goldfield

Everyone enjoys spending 5 hours buzzing around wine country in a limo. We take it up a notch by setting up 3 tastings at wineries that are off the beaten path and include not only beautiful wines but beautiful settings. Fort Ross and its spectacular vineyard on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Freeman Winery and their bucolic small country winery feel and Dutton-Goldfield’s quaint setting will all host you in a private tasting.

This year, you may NOT pick up your auction winnings at the event. All wine must be shipped and will be sent to you directly from the winery of the winning bids. Please note the costs for shipping below. Also note that your winning bids will be charged sales tax if the shipping address is in California. For California, shipping rates are as follows: 1-3 750ml Bottles: $13. 4-6 750ml bottles: $18. 7-12 750ml bottles: $27. Each additional 6 750ml bottles: $ 9. 1 Magnum: $15. 2-3 Magnums: $25. Each additional Magnum: $10. For outside California, shipping rates are as follows: 1-3 750ml Bottles: $15. 4-6 750ml bottles: $30. Each additional 3 750ml bottles: $15. 1 Magnum: $25. 2-3 Magnums: $40. Each additional Magnum: $15. Please be aware that if you request to ship your wines immediately, the weather may damage your wines. It is getting hot across the country and we would regret your wines being needlessly damaged. We are more than happy to store your wines until the weather cools in the Fall.
