who is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society.

Artist's Statement:

"It is very sobering for me to realize that one random spark or one
match can ignite the beginning of unimaginable devastation and
loss. I tried to capture this idea by painting a literal branch from a
Colorado fire and using charcoal from a fire to depict a number of
matches with the final match being the one match that started it
all."
