Item Description

Lunch or Dinner with Pascal Lecocq - Painter of the Blue - in Fort Lauderdale, FL (and elsewhere*)

Pascal Lecocq has been exhibiting his work across Europe for the last 30 years and his paintings can be found in galleries and private collections around the world.

He is famous for his images of divers in surreal situations enveloped in remarkable blue vistas.

Pascal loves telling stories, be it a diver “bullfighting” a great white shark, or a group of Shark Research Institute divers at a crime scene at which a shark was finned. His work reflects his imagination, dreams, poetry and humor.

Pascal is a graduate from the University of Paris with a doctorate in Art. His pictorial research and color work point to his great admiration of Van Eyck and Vermeer while his landscapes show the influence of Dali.

His work is extremely personable and his touch is smooth, bright, and delicate.

* Pascal will also be in France (Paris, Fontainebleau, Angers in January 2014), Chicago (Feb 15, 2014), Columbus, OH (March 14, 2014), NYC (March 25-27, 2014)

Item Special Note

Being auctioned is dinner or lunch with one the world’s foremost shark experts or celebrities. It is a unique opportunity to “talk shark” face-to-face, one-on-one, with a real authority on sharks.

How it works:

1. Bid on a celebrity, shark scientist or conservationist that lives or works in your area, unless you are willing to drive or fly to meet them in their area.

2. The winning bidder pays for the lunch or dinner and may bring as many guests as he or she wishes.

3. We will introduce the winning bidder to the celebrity, scientist or conservationist. The two of you then set a mutually agreeable  date, time and place to meet within one year of the close of the auction.

All winning bids are charitable contributions deductible from US Federal 2013 income taxes.  Funds raised by the auction will be used to support shark research and conservation programs.
