Item Description

The wonderful private garden sets Casa Bacco apart from many homes in Cortona, as most do not have an outdoor space. Imagine sitting in Casa di Bacco's lovely private courtyard garden enjoying a glass of local Tuscan wine and perhaps some fresh pecorino cheese after a full day of activity. Or, preparing a meal in the fully equipped traditional kitchen to enjoy in the outdoor table with your friends and family. The beautiful garden greets you every time you enter through it's gate.

Casa Bacco is a spacious and luminous 3 bedroom/ 2 full bath home, situated in upper Cortona and spread out over 2 floors. The bedrooms are all queen size and the house can accommodate 6 people. The house is decorated throughout with many family heirlooms and interesting antiques. Each room has a distinct flavor of it's own and most offer stunning views over the rooftops of Cortona and down the bucolic Val de Chiana (Chiana Valley) below.

Miro, your host and the owner of Casa Bacco, has just recently restored this beautiful home, which was in his family for several generations.  He has gone above and beyond to ensure his guests have all the amenities and comforts needed. There is TV, washing machine, and dishwasher.

"Casa Bacco is very inviting and offers a relaxed, cozy atmosphere in which to spend your time.  We have personally had the opportunity to stay here for several days, and we loved it, enjoying every moment in the tranquil garden...a true delight!"

Cortona is a 3,000 year old Etruscan hill-town conveniently situated in Tuscany between Florence and Rome. It lays on the main rail line and also the main Autostrada between Rome and Florence.

Cortona was recently made famous by the book/movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”. Along with incredible physical beauty and views of the valley and lake Trasimeno below, Cortona offers an array of fine restaurants and shops. The town also boasts two museums and numerous churches and historical sights. It truly is a magical place to explore!

*Please note: Cortona is an ancient, walled hilltown with many stairs, steep streets and limited driving/parking with no elevators or handicap accommodations. Please be advised of this if you have mobility issues of any sort.
