Item Description
From the artist:
Crocheting with wire takes me back to my days as an art student in college. One of the things I created for friends back then was wire purses. While my primary interest was in painting and printmaking, keeping my hands busy was, and still is, important to me.
A few years ago, one of the friends who remembered my wire bags asked if I would make her another one. She strongly suspected that her sister had taken hers. This was the beginning of my reunion with wire.
The purse being auctioned for LINC is a style I call "Acorn", for obvious reasons! It is a bag for bare essentials, and is easy to wear on one's wrist when dancing.
The bag is 5 inches tall and a circular 4.5 inches wide.
