Item Description
Research and adventure await TWO PEOPLE on this ONE DAY FLOAT trip on the wild and scenic St. Joe or Moyie River in north Idaho while helping Idaho Department of Fish and Game biologists survey harlequin ducks.
You will learn how to spot and survey harlequin ducks with opportunities to view wildlife and raft Class II rapids.
Last year's winning bidder brought his wife and together they enjoyed the experience of surveying harlequin ducks. They thought the trip "was worth every penny!"
Your experience includes lunch, Dutch oven dinner and breakfast with ONE OVERNIGHT stay at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Midget Creek patrol cabin on the upper St. Joe River.
TRIP VALID APRIL 15 THROUGH MAY 25, 2010 - date depends on peak runoff times; flexibility in scheduling required.
Winning bidders need to bring a dry bag, binoculars, warm clothes (whitewater rafting can be cold) sleeping bag, personal gear, rain gear, and a camera.
Winning bidders provide own transportation to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Item Special Note
This trip requires flexibility on dates due to variability of water flow and peak run off times.
Winning bidder will be contacted by Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation staff for scheduling and confirming trip dates.
PLEASE NOTE: In addition to the winning bid price a 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to each item. A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price for all land-based trips. For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law. All sales are final.
