Item Description
Westport, Mass.-based graphic designer, fine artist and self-described chicken rancher, Alyn Carlson presents a small piece of her magical world with "Morning Egg." Pastels on dark blue Fabriano Tiziano pastel paper, "Morning Egg" measures 9"x9". Natural light wood frame with white matt board completes the piece for a final measurement of 20.5" x 20.5".
"Where I live is so beautiful, it would be hard not to be inspired. Mornings, I watch the sunrise over the harbor. The color and feel of any given morning can be familiar but never exactly the same as another. I look at the marsh, plants, birds, boats, trees. I think about the way things grow and change and then make patterns that are visual metaphors or reminders." -Alyn Carlson
Item Special Note
About Alyn:
"I'm an artist, graphic designer, actor and part time chicken rancher living in a converted church who believes in setting the table for the muse. Always in search of the line, font, pattern, seed, flavor, musical note to be placed at the right time in the right place."
