Meadowood Napa Valley: Meadowood is a center of social, cultural and viticultural life in Napa Valley and a second home for those who enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the wine country. The property features championship croquet lawns, seven tennis courts, a nine-hole walking golf course, hiking trails, swimming, a full-service health spa, a wine educator, guest rooms, suites and cottages.  The epitome of fine dining in a romantic, casually elegant setting, The Restaurant at Meadowood, under the culinary direction of Chef Christopher Kostow, has garnered two-stars from the esteemed Michelin Guide and four stars from the San Francisco Chronicle. 

Far Niente:  Tours begin with a walk through the historic, tri-level winery, which is built into the surrounding hillside. Guests are then led through a portion of the 40,000 square-foot Far Niente wine aging caves, which were the first modern wine caves built in North America when excavation began in 1980. The tour concludes with a visit to the Carriage House, home to a fascinating collection of classic automobiles. Tastings follow each tour and feature the current releases of Far Niente estate wines, including a Napa Valley Chardonnay and Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as carefully aged Chardonnay and Cabernet from the Far Niente Cave Collection. A seasonal cheese pairing is also featured. Each tasting ends with a taste of Dolce, the sumptuous, late harvest wine produced by Far Niente’s sister winery, also called Dolce.

Nickel & Nickel: Located on Highway 29 in Oakville, CA, Nickel & Nickel brings back to life the farmstead that was first settled on the site in the 1880's with a cutting edge winery behind the scenes.  Visit the historic Sullenger House built in 1884, the Gleason barn circa 1770, which was moved from New Hampshire and re-constructed at the winery, our subterranean wine cellar and more.

Item Special Note

Meadowood: Expires March 3, 2011.  Reservations are available Sunday through Thursday nights during the months of November through August, space permitting.  Some restrictions may apply. 

Far Niente: Available for tours Monday through Sunday.  An appointment is required and we suggest calling at least two weeks in advance of your desired date.  The tour and tasting last about 90 minutes.
