Item Description
As a native Rhode Islander, Gail Armstrong grew up exploring many of the scenic locations she now paints. "Silver Spring Fishing Area", an 8"x10" oil painting, beautifully captures the light and mood of a North Kingstown, RI landscape, preserving it for all time in a classic gilded wood frame. (Final size: 13"x15")
Gail received a Masters Degree in Art and Education from Rhode Island School of Design in 1980, and previously a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hartford Art School in 1972. She taught art for over thirty years, primarily at North Kingstown High School, and now teach watercolors at the Providence Art Club.
She is an artist member of Spring Bull Gallery in Newport and the Providence Art Club, also a signature member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society. Other artist memberships include the Cape Cod Art Association, the Wickford Art Association, the South County Art Association, the Newport Art Museum, and the Newport Artist’s Guild. She has exhibited and received awards in numerous local, regional and national open juried shows.
