Item Description
Help save golden lion tamarins in their wild home in Brazil! With your bid of $400 the Brazilian organization Associac?o Mico-Le?o Dourado will restore one acre of a forest corridor to connect protected habitat for golden lion tamarins in Brazil. (With a higher bid they can restore even more!) Our goal is to protect 25,000 hectares (61,750 acres) of remaining forest habitat patches. We must connect these patches through restoration work to form a network of forest corridors ? enough to support a viable population of 2,000 golden lion tamarins. With your winning bid you will have the satisfaction of helping to offset your carbon footprint, helping to save the planet for future generations. The winning bidder will receive a certificate suitable for framing and will be recognized on the websites www.savetheliontamarin.org and www.micoleao.org.br.
Item Special Note
The winning bid is NOT buying the land, only the restoration of the forest.
