Join program Director Dr. Steve Monfort on an unpresendented behind the scenes tour and grand unveiling of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Insitute (SCBI) headquarters in Front Royal, Virginia. Normally closed to the public, SCBI is located on 3,200 acres of land where talented staff are involved in groundbreaking research pertaining to the conservation of endangered species and ecosystems locally, nationally, and around the world. SCBI is also host to endangered species including Clouded Leopards, Red Pandas, and Przewalski Horses. Join Steve for three hours as he takes up to six people on a tour of SCBI and discusses the plans for the future. We are at a critical time for biodiversityand also an exciting time as the Smithsonian engages on this new endeavor.
