Item Description
A tour this summer of the Chicago Zoological Society's (CZS) Primate Department and Free Ranging Golden Lion Tamarin exhibit on Brookfield Zoo Grounds. Guests will learn about the preparations for and the management of Golden Lion Tamarins in our free ranging exhibit, and have the opportunity to practice finding the tamarins using radio telemetry equipment. Past 'soft releases' will be compared to the ongoing free ranging exhibit. Black and black-handed spider monkeys, crested capuchins, callimico, giant anteater, and lowland tapir can all also be met up close and personal. Tour provided for up to six people for approximately two hours. Includes airfare for two to Chicago.
Item Special Note
Golden Lion Tamarins will most likely be released into their free ranging exhibit in June. Contact the CZS Primate Department to schedule the tour at a time convenient for all. In order to redeem AirTran tickets, please contact Karen Laughlin at 202-633-3036 or laughlink@si.edu. The air tickets must be used in conjunction with the tour.
