Item Description
Alexander the Great defeated the Persians at Persepolis, in the Battle of the Persian Gate. In this 1889 gravure print, it's evidently after the victory! The creator of the original work, the Roman G. Simoni, specialized in painting historical subjects. The 8" x 13" image is in mint condition and matted in museum board. Overall dimensions are 16" x 20" in its black wood frame. This work is a donation from the collections of Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI.
