Item Description

This authentic, New Mexico-red-clay pot is from Southwest Passage, featuring native American jewelry and crafts for 10 years at Providence’ Wayland Square.

Hand-made by V.P. Fragua, well-known for pottery and storyteller dolls from Jemez Pueblo. Made of the area’s famous red clay, it’s decorated with the sacred corn plant, and water symbols seeking rain to help the corn grow. Its “Kiva” top symbolizes the stairs to a traditional ceremonial chamber. It’s from Southwest Passage in Providence.
