Item Description
Set of 10 KOSHIDA bone china tea cups and saucer/tea plates in white with
stylized, hand-painted tree decoration. The cups are light
in weight, and each one has an unusual raised or embossed white-on-white image of the
Empress of Japan on the inside bottom of the cup, so as a little surprise, you get to see her
after you drink your tea!.
The curved tea plates have an indentation for the cup, and the stamp on the back of each plate reads
"Hand Painted KOSHIDA JAPAN " The cups and tea plates are in mint
condition, and the cup has a lovely ring when tapped lightly.
Item Special Note
This set was originally a gift from Japanese officials to a Canadian family visiting
Japan on business in the 1960's.
Winner is responsible for shipping costs.
