Item Description
Just Kick Back and Relax: A one-week world-class Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest trip for you to get away from it all! Everything is arranged for you from the time you step off your plane in Quito, Ecuador until the morning you leave for your return journey.
Guest Testimonial: "We have spent the most amazing days of our vacation at La Selva Lodge. The accommodation were exactly what we were hoping to find in the middle of the jungle: comfortable bed, bamboo and thatch roof, no mechanical noise during the night (only the wonderful sounds of the jungle), the food was simple yet very good."
Itinerary
- Day 1: You will be met at the Quito airport outside customs and driven to The Nu Hotel, or another equally well-placed first class boutique hotel subject to space availability
- Day 2-5: Transfer will be provided for you from your hotel back to the airport, this time for a flight to the nearest take-off point to the Amazon Basin. A Guide will meet you at the airport for the short trip to La Selva Jungle Lodge. Enjoy your 4 night/5 day stay, exploring the Amazon with an English-speaking guide and seeing all of the wonders of the magical rainforest.
- Day 6: You will return the way you came fully escorted and spend your final night at the Nu Hotel.
- Day 7: Transport will be provided for you to return to the airport for your trip home.
If you prefer a longer stay this can be arranged with other sites such as the Galapagos Islands and the Otavalo Indian Market (extra fees apply).
Depending on availability, the winner may also ask for: ONE OF LA SELVA'S NEW LUXURY CLASS BUNGALOWS (with no guarantee but will be awarded on a last minute basis if the space is available), a four-room suite with an enormous bedroom, sitting room or second bedroom, a gigantic balcony which extends into the forest and and a waterfall. The balcony serves as a refreshing spot for lounging and for cooling down after a day on the trails, or anytime you want. Twin sinks and all of the fixtures and lighting in the shower room are of a minimalist clean style designed for their plain beauty and to complement the bamboo walls and ceiling made of a strain of the grass that originally came from China but is grown on the coast of Ecuador and chosen for its beauty and craftibility.
